NSEN Flange type high temperature butterfly valve with cooling fin

Triple eccentric butterfly valves can be applied to working conditions with temperatures up to 600°C, and the valve design temperature is usually related to material and structure.

When the operating temperature of the valve exceeds 350℃, the worm gear becomes hot through heat conduction, which will easily burn the electric actuator, and at the same time will easily cause the operator to burn. Therefore, in the NSEN standard design, an extension stem with a cooling fin design is used to protect the actuators such as electric equipment and pneumatics.

Here is a simple example. When the main body material is different and the inner parts are the same material, the length of the extended valve stem is usually different under the same operating temperature.

主体材质 Body material 使用温度 Working temp 阀杆加长 Stem extend

WCB

350℃

200mm

WC6/WC9

350℃

300mm

When the connection type is flange, it is necessary to pay special attention to a critical temperature of 538℃. It is not recommended to use flange connection when the actual operating temperature exceeds 538℃.

The following picture shows our normal carbon steel extension stem high temperature butterfly valve, the specific materials are as follows:

Valve body-WCB

Valve disc-WCB

Clamp ring-SS304

Seal- SS304+Graphite

Stem- 2CR13

The recommended maximum temperature of the valve is 425℃
